Sources say that by the third quarter of 2011 Audi will be launching its new Audi TT RS coupe to the U.S. market.
"With performance and agility rooted in Audi motorsports success, the TT RS is truly an emotional sports car," explained Johan de Nysschen, President, Audi of America.
Audi TT RS, a turbocharged 2.5 liter engine with 340 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque which consumes only 9.2 liters/25.57 US mpg.
In addition with the quattro permanent all-wheel drive, this powerful five cylinder model gives volatile performance, thus making the Audi TT RS a perfect coupe.
The coupe weighs only 3,197 lb whose power weighs to the ratio of only 9.5 lb per hp.
It is made of aluminum up front and steel sheet at the rear.
The Coupe’s promising fantastic performance figures like an acceleration from 0 to 62mph in less than 4.6 seconds with a top speed of around 174 mph.
Peak torque of 332 lb-ft is available between 1,600 and 5,300 rpm, providing tremendous pulling power.
During full load, the intercooler decreases the temperature of the compressed air and reaches efficiency of 80 percent and above.
Audi has not yet determined pricing for the Audi TT RS.
